The Great Struggle for Power

T'kal Zahara, male revolutionary, Anointed Blade of Vhaeraun, and leader of the Hidden Hands. Orka Balmung, survivor, drow hunter, and leader of a famed mercenary company. These two titans and their opposed armies very nearly clashed and destroyed each other in Session Two. Very nearly.

The two leaders, paragons among males of their respective races, can see reason (from time to time.) Their followers exhibited rabid hatred, and sought open war, when Thorgrim Stonebeard, Priest Dwarf rallied his companions to slay The Dagger, T'kal's faceless master assassin. Only a quick escape via portal magic spared both parties many lives and many gallons of blood.

This escape, however, splintered the party in twain. Three factions arose from the smoking rubble of the old. Orka essentially said, "To hell with it," and left. The grey dwarves and their battle slave minotaur grumbled and set after Orka, trying to recruit his services once again. T'kal, Lilith the Succubus, and the Dagger went their own way, to find their prime entrance into the Demonweb Pits.

The party is split! Can they enter the Demonweb Pits? Can they survive? Can they succeed, and overthrow Lloth, and upset the very Cosmological Wheel?

UPDATE!
After Session Three, we have a glorious victory to boast of.

The party came together admirably, after a frank correspondance between the two men. The united party was remarkably business-like, professional, and best of all, tactical. The legions of Selvetarm's unholy templars, gigantic spiders, masters of Sorcere, and bound Type III Devils could not even slow down this unstoppable congregation of mighty drow, gloaming, and duergar. Alas, a minotaur died. But he was a slave.

Now comes the true challenge... for after breaching Arach'Tinilith's gates, slaying three guardian spiders, and a dozen guardian devils, and battling back a swarm, a tide of spiders... the party has leapt through a gate to the Demonweb Pits.

Out of the frying pan, into the fire? We shall see.
