Six centuries after the Drow arrived in Erehei-Cinlu, the City of the Spider Queen, from the Demonweb Pits, their warriors still use the same poison. In fact, the majority of the society still uses Type XX poison.

The vile substance is actually distilled eight times, for each of the legs of Lolth, within the sacred temple, Arach'Tinilith, from the loyal arachnid temple guardians. Type XX is actually quite watered down, for a pure concentration of the poison is too caustic and strong to be contained within any vial.
