T'kal Zahara, the Hidden Hand
The Hidden Hand is aptly named. When he wishes to be seen, he is seen. Otherwise, the first notice his enemies have of his presence is the warm flow of blood from their slit throat. He is eerily silent, even for a drow, but more unnerving yet is the absolute confidence, nay, PRIDE that T'kal shows. As a male, that should not be. But this is no mere male.
He grew up on the mean streets of Erehel-Cinlu, an outcast from a fallen house, surviving from day to day, hour to hour, as ruthless hunting parties of drow nobles rampaged through the streets on their lizard mounts, slaying for sport. His father was Uulrin Zahara, feared weapons master, and T'kal learned well. He rose to infamy as an assassin in a few short decades, honing his skills to the highest level... After returning from a harrowing adventure into the lowerdark as a bodyguard (which provided him with ample opportunities to steal from the high priestess that he accompanied), T'kal re-founded an ancient order of thieves, assassins, and vagabonds: Velve'Velkyn, the Unseen Knives. Rumor has it that this is no mere thieves' guild, just as T'kal is no mere male. It is said that Vhaeraun himself lurks behind the dark plots and scheming of the Hidden Hands, and that T'kal returned from that fateful adventure to the Crystal Dungeon with a mission greater than can be comprehended: a mission of deicide. Death to Lolth.
